My kids’ elementary school holds an event each year to support the movement to Keep Kids Healthy. The lower grades run 1 mile, the upper grades (4th and 5th) run 2 miles.
It’s a fun event that the kids are all able to sign up for & parents are invited to attend. Donations support the school’s PTA, and ‘training’ for the Fun Run is an opportunity for children to keep fit and healthy.
Last night, my two had a conversation about who mom would be running with today.
Both of us! Of course mom can run three miles!
Turns out, they were right! I’m really proud of my two. She walked/ran 2 miles in almost 30 minutes, and he ran 1 mile in about 10 minutes. Excellent! Keep it up, little ones!
